I was here for lunch the other day with friends and now I am back for dinner. Lunch was fantastic and dinner surpassed it! The restaurant is nice without being fussy. The staff is very friendly. The food was a little slow coming out but well worth the wait. Fried green tomatoes are awesome, crunchy and flavorful. The crabmeat sauce is completely unnecessary but tasty. I hate Brussels sprouts but the grilled Brussel sprouts are fantastic. If you are here, you have to try them. I had the pork chop with bourbon sauce and cheese grits with grilled asparagus. It was awesome. Max had the chicken and waffles. Both were great. Just a really cool, laid back restaurant with great food. It is out of the way but well worth the drive

We picked this place because it was close to the airport but away from the city and it blew us away!!  The BBQ Mac and Cheese was possibly the best I have ever had. It has won awards and I believe it. I don't know what it was but I liked the spoon clean. The Fried Green Tomatoes were perfection. The remolade splice but balances. The BBQ Sampler was all good. The pound cake was light and rich at the same time. But that Mac and Cheese......

A hidden gem just a short drive from New Orleans. Everything about our experience tonight at the Truck Farm Tavern was perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly. The chef even visited our table after we finished our meal and was very humble in receiving our compliments. The BBQ Mac & Cheese appetizer (slow smoked pulled pork, cavatappi pasta, four cheeses, green chilies and toasted bread crumbs) is highly addictive. I dare you to eat just one bite. My entree was superb: bourbon glaze pork chop with roasted corn, poblano and cheddar grits, pickled peaches, country greens & bourbon jus. And be sure to leave room for dessert. Our table shared the excellent white chocolate raspberry bread pudding and the apple pie with homemade vanilla ice cream. The art in and around the building is a very nice touch as well. This was easily the best meal I've eaten in quite a while..
